Here at Cabins.co.uk, we offer a “hassle free” slab base preparation service. This service will take the headache out of trying to prepare a base yourself.

Our service comes with a full pre consultation assessment phone call before your install takes place to ensure that you know exactly what is going to happen on the day of your installation.

The consultation will talk through any issues that may concern you which include:

• Access to your property
• Types of slabs or concrete that will be used.
• Arrangements of slabs or concrete.
• Timescales of the preparation
• Any other questions.

A slabbed base is ideal for sheds or summerhouses up to 3m/10' in size.

The service normally takes about a day to complete (weather permitting).

The Protek Wood Preserver++ is a water-based, clear coat wood preservative that penetrates deep into the wood to protect against moulds, wood destroying & discolouring fungi, as well as wood boring insects.

Its moisture regulating and adhesive surface is designed to be finished with subsequent water/oil based, weather resistant top coat paint or stain. Protek Wood Preserver is odourless when dry.

The Protek Wood Stain & Protector - Clear Tough Coat is designed for use on a range of internal timber, or can be used to waterproof an outdoor building without adding more colour. Contains high levels of acrylic to boost the waterproofing properties, and is designed to go over a Wood Stain & Protect colour to further protect it from excessive wear and tear. This product is low odour, quick drying and has an easy water clean finish for added convenience.

This clear treatment is best used as a top coat to already coloured wood. It can be applied to bare wood, but the wood will age and discolour over time with exposure to sunlight.
